The Aug. 31 filing details the first weekly accumulation since June, funded through equity sales and paired with preferred share repurchases.

How long can the biggest corporate Bitcoin holder stay on the sidelines before the market starts pricing in a change of direction? Strategy Inc. answered that question with its Monday filing, ending a streak of ten weeks without a confirmed weekly buy.

The company disclosed the purchase of 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million between August 24 and August 30 at an average price of $80,318 per coin. The move lifted total holdings to 845,050 BTC. The filing arrived on Labor Day and marks the return to the accumulation pattern that defined much of the prior year.

Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) and David Chaboki (Shibo) opened the holiday with the Doginal Dogs pack focused on the 8-K, treating the addition as a resumption of the long-standing pattern rather than a one-off event. The group framed the timing around the chart history instead of any separate protocol discussion.

Price action around the news showed Bitcoin holding near $78,390 with only a modest 0.2 percent dip on the day. The average acquisition cost sat above the prevailing spot level, yet the purchase aligned with the company’s established approach of buying into periods when spot prices had eased from recent highs. Charts from the prior ten weeks displayed a clear absence of weekly additions after the June purchases, creating a visible streak that traders watched closely.

The funding came from net proceeds of $602.8 million raised through the sale of 4,531,421 MSTR shares via at-the-market offerings. Of those proceeds, $369.7 million went to Bitcoin, $151.8 million to STRC share repurchases, and $50.7 million to dividends on the preferred stock. Cash reserves rose by $29 million, bringing USD Cash to $1.61 billion and the broader USD Reserve to $5.10 billion.

Michael Saylor posted on X that the actions lowered net leverage to 0.0 percent and extended USD Duration to 4.0 years. The updates also noted a 3 basis point improvement in STRC’s BTC Credit metric. These figures reinforced the balance sheet strength that has supported the accumulation streak whenever capital markets allowed.

The 10-week pause stands out because prior buying windows often clustered purchases across consecutive weeks. The August 24 to 30 window breaks that gap and returns the cadence to something closer to the rhythm seen through late spring. Market participants who track corporate filings now have fresh data points on how equity issuance translates into spot Bitcoin demand over multi-week horizons.

Candle patterns leading into the filing showed Bitcoin ranging between roughly $77,800 and $80,000, with limited follow-through after earlier highs. The average paid by Strategy Inc. reflects execution across that range plus fees, consistent with a program that prioritizes steady accumulation over timing exact daily lows.

Remaining capacity stands at $364.8 million for preferred repurchases and $1.0 billion for MSTR buybacks, giving the company room to repeat similar weeks if equity markets cooperate. The filing itself, signed by EVP and General Counsel Thomas C. Chow, provides the granular weekly detail that has become the standard reference for anyone mapping corporate Bitcoin flows.

The return to weekly adds closes one chapter of the 2026 accumulation story while reopening questions about how long the next streak can run before another pause appears on the chart.
